Thinking : (30 June 2009 - 08:11 PM) this new fomat sucks a** without the "view new posts" option. we need the old forum back.
Mastabattas : (29 June 2009 - 07:36 PM) so far nothing compares to the 'view new post' option. :(
admin : (28 June 2009 - 09:45 PM) new posts can be seen three ways that i can see so far. 1. "today's active content" at the bottom of the site in the middle of the page. 2. folders will be dark blue when new posts are made in that forum. 3. "recently added topics" side bar shows the last 5 posts on the right side of the page (i'm looking at making it 10 most recent).

admin : (28 June 2009 - 02:55 PM) mobey: only members can use shout box i think (i have to play some more with the settings to verify). only thing i see... all conversations stay in it, not sure yet when it clears itself... so... what is written stays for all to see :( ha... no more private chats... at least using the shout box. pm's have some new features, friends, etc... and there is a facebook connect thing i'm working on as well.
admin : (28 June 2009 - 02:53 PM) mobey: warn status bar... just tells each member if they have gone over the line in attacking someone, posted spam and got a warning, whatever... same as old board... just different format.
admin : (28 June 2009 - 02:52 PM) ha... kristine... the only members can see their warn level... it's a feature built into ipb... 3 warns by default before suspension. again... only used for serious things, but members could see if they got a warning for something... others cannot see anything but their own.
